Tic Tac Toe Skyscapes

I am always on the lookout for Tic Tac Toe shapes made by intersecting contrails, so when I stepped out my door Monday morning and saw contrails converging I took some photos.  But the sun was too bright!  I  took my walk around my neighborhood and finally decided to try putting my sunglasses over the phone/camera lens, but then I really couldn't see so I just took the shot blindly.  Was very pleased with my take♫  Took a couple more shots hunkered beneath some shrubs to block the sun....

Sun, too bright

Through my sunglasses lens

A bit fuzzy, but recognizable as a tic tac toe♫

Liked how this framed up.

I would never have thought of putting my sunglasses on the camera!!! I love the effect, though, especially with that one contrail that widens out!!!
Lovely!!

Excellent composition, I like these delicious textures of the sky with contrails of airplanes.

Great shots! I really love the second one. And I love the idea of putting sunglasses on the camera - must try that!

Great photos! What are the streaks? Are they all the same photo with different treatments? And sunglasses, how imaginative. Must try.

The streaks are contrails, or jet streams that start out crisp behind the planes, then expand to look more like clouds♫

Interesting shots! Love looking at those jet trails.

Totally creative on so many levels!! I love that you used your 'shades' as a filter!! Funny how I've noticed patterns from contrails in the past...I'll see them in a new way now!

Blessings!

Great idea to put the sunglasses over the lense. Love that shot :)

Wow! There's not enough of any kind of traffic here in New Zealand to make a tic tac toe! Great catch!

very cool captures - our skies are too full smog and grey to capture such a lovely blue sky

I didn't know the word contrail but I've noticed and wondered at the phenom!
I'll be accused of having my head in the clouds more so than usual from now on.
Thanks for sharing these amazing shots, and thanks for stopping by my blog too.
